Not all Koch fund money is bad after all…#UCSD rakes in $3M

A 1-year-old center at the University of California San Diego has received a $3.3 million grant to extend its scholarly work on national security.

The grant from the Charles Koch Foundation will allow UC San Diego’s Center for Peace and Security Studies to step up its analysis of new and emerging modes of conflict.

Center director Erik Gartzke said that list includes cybersecurity, military automation, weapons of mass destruction, cross-domain deterrence and how intelligence can be derived from big data.
