“If I’m a tourist from another country, why would I go to Washington if I can go to Hollywood?”

With the cannabis industry set to be legalized in California at the start of next year, the pressure is on for Los Angeles, as some anticipate that the city will be among the hottest marijuana markets in the country, if not the world.

“It’s the California gold rush again – it’s the ‘Green Rush,’” said Greg Meguerian, owner of The Reefinery medical marijuana dispensary in Van Nuys. “The world’s paying attention, and at the end of the day, this is Los Angeles. It’s going to be the largest market in the world … it’s going to be huge.”

“If I’m a tourist from another country, why would I go to Washington if I can go to Hollywood?” he said.

  1. While other states on the Left Coast seem to be handling the new industry like adults, it’s starting to become clear that the Kalys citizens are going to be running amuck while under the influence of this drug. With these dealers planning huge fields of reefer, they are going to have to have a huge market to sell to and the Kaly’s thirst for drug use is going to fuel mayhem. You an expect an increase in fatal accidents as they smoke as they drive and stay under the influence all day long. The bad part is that there is NOT a test for driving while stoned. The tests now cannot tell whether you just fired up a fatty or had one twelve hours ago. The cities are gong to continue their descent into anarchy now that it will be easily available. Welcome to your Kalyfornia drug induced nightmare.
