After spending billions on schools and teachers, only half of California’s children are meeting English standards.
You would think educators and politicians in Sacramento would be in panic mode. Unfortunately they are not.
The data for African-American and Hispanic children is even worse…and more disheartening.
Math scores are horrific and indicate that most students will not be able to function in the job market after graduation. (Yes, even California’s failing students will get diplomas.)
Yet our state’s leaders remain quiet. They are owned by the education establishment.
