According to the Sacramento Bee, unlicensed cannabis delivery drivers pay hundreds and even thousands of dollars to post advertisements on the Weedmaps website. It allow them to avoid California law and restrictions on the sale of marijuana by licensed dealers.
It’s the type of crime opponents of legalization predicted.
The Bee is right when they ask, “Why spend tens of thousands of dollars to get licensed and open a legal pot shop when you can buy an ad online and sell your product out of a trunk for a fraction of the cost?”
What did you expect from an “industry” that at its very core is, and most likely always will be, a criminal enterprise.
Marijuana delivery was never a good idea in the first place. Weedmaps is proving that assessment to be correct.
