Peace-niks in San Francisco protested in front of Diane Feinstein’s Pacific Heights residence, urging her to “stop the bombing!”
They also chalked messages on the walkway to her front door, telling the senator to “enforce the constitution” and “end these wars now.”
Super-wealthy Feinstein lives behind a well fortified wall, as Senate Pro Temp Kevin de León often reminds us, so there was no danger the confrontation would get out of hand.
According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the protesters took the extreme measure of using special blue tape to hang their signs that wouldn’t leave marks so they “wouldn’t be accused of defacing.” It’s probably a good thing protesters kept in mind the power of the Police State in San Francisco.
They walked next to Pelosi’s home, also in Pacific Heights, where their message was the same. Later, the demonstrators were joined by several other groups at Market and Powell streets.
